Peanuts!!!

As many of you know, I am allergic to peanuts. Yesterday while I was cleaning out a cupboard, Avalee saw a jar of peanuts and wanted some. So I dumped about ten peanuts in a bowl. She put all the peanuts in her mouth at once and ran off. About ten minutes later, I went to put her down for her nap. She had chewed about half of the peanuts but was sucking on them. She couldn't talk because her mouth was full. I tried to get her to spit them out but she wouldn't. I had no desire to touch them so I held her over the kitchen sink and plugged her nose (learned this trick from giving Lincoln medicine twice a day). She finally had to open her mouth to breathe and start to gag because she tried to swallow. She couldn't swallow them so she finally spit out the peanuts out of her mouth. She was very mad at me, and I put her down for a nap screaming "more peanuts."

I don't think I will be giving her peanuts when Nathan is not around. Yuck!
